Soooo.. What now?
Well, in August I will be starting my final year in my bachelor degree. And during the first semester of this year i will be having a few English courses. This blog is here for me to practice English writing and to help me evolve towards the new courses. It will be a mess of a blog with spelling mistakes and random topics. Stay tuned and if you're the grammar police "Hi again!" haven't seen you since yesterday. Well that's it for introduction, time for the first posts topic.
Game of Thrones - Spoilers ahead!
My all time favorite show. I didn't watch the show until season 5. I was under the impression that is was a show that got its hype from its explicit scenes. And me trying to be a "rebel" didn't want to give it a chance just because everyone was hyped to the max. But then when season 5 was released I decided to give it a try. I WATCHED EVERY SINGLE EPISODES IN 5 DAYS. I watched 40+ episodes with around one hour each in 5 days. That's 40+ hours of couch sitting and binging a show. Do I regret it? No! I wanna repeat it all day everyday.
After that point i watched it and became GoT's biggest fan. Amazing fight scenes, great writing, huge story lines, dragons, magic and zombies what more could someone ask for. I got excited for every season release and got hyped every time. How the characters evolve and how the story line gets deeper and every season set a new standard I got more and more interested.
Then season 8 came 😐 I know I know. You're all tired of hearing about this show you never watched and don't care about how it ended. But contrary to you two people out there the rest of us invested a lot of time into this show. We got attached to the characters and there stories, we connected to them. And when i tell you this season had me on a roller coaster....
The first two episodes were fine I guess. Would I change them, a little maybe, but did i still enjoy them, yes. But then episode 3 hit and it went downhill real quick. First of all the Whitewalkers. The first thing we see in the first episode of the first season was the whites. And you're telling me so many seasons later it all led up to 1 episode fight that end up with a girl sneaking up and killing the Night King? Don't get me wrong I love Arya she is the assassin Westeros needs. But the Night King? Who was created trough magic to kill the first men and that has gotten stronger and stronger, survived for thousands of years, survives dragon fire, literally untouchable, That Night King? How can that same person die so quick we didn't even get a scene of him fighting. Let alone all the symbols we have seen trough out the show. Your telling me all those symbols we have seen for 8 seasons were just interior decorating the Night King designed?
In a perfect world this would be the Night Kings ending:
Lets keep episode 1-2 as is. But episode 3 is where we start changing. So they are fighting and all that but a few changes. First of all Daenerys does not fall of the dragon. And Bran wargs into the Zombie dragon. He then lets Jon through. As Theon fights and dies we see Jon come in and we get the fight scene we have been waiting for. The Whitewalkers do not intervene as the Night King decides so. They are fighting and we can see Jon is about to die. Then Daenerys comes and whilst riding Drogon pushed the Night King down, She takes Jon and Bran and rides south to Kingslanding, meanwhile Arya gets to the crypt and takes the people down there south through a underground tunnel built druing the first 2 episodes. Cersei lets them through as Jamie convinces her.
Bran then travels back in time and tries to find out what to do as the Night King is riding south him self. Now I cant be bothered to tell this in detail as i'm tired of writing, so here is a short version. Kingslanding still gets destroyed but not by Daenerys but by the Night King. Bran finds out the meaning of the symbols. Its a sacrifice. The Night King needs a child of fire to be stopped. This is when we find out Daenerys is pregnant and the rest find out Jon is Targaryen. Jon decides to sacrifice himself as he is a child of fire. Jon gets sacrificed to the God of light and which then weakens the Night King. This is when we see Daenerys get angry and burns down the Whitewalkers. Arya being the assassin she is then kills the Night King in a fight scene. Lastly the people are thankful and know Daenerys shoudl be on the Throne. She gets what she has been deserving all this seasons. Then we see Jamie and Cersei hug each other and happy to still be alive. Now imagine the scene with Jon and Daenerys but as Jamie and Cersei. Jamie says "You'll always be Queen Cersei to me" they kiss and then Cercei gets stabbed. As Cersei takes her last breaths we see Jamie Taking off his face and its actually Arya. She says "In the game of thrones you either win or you die" and it fades to black. As we wait and think that's the ending we see little boy running around. We hear Daenerys calling him Aegon. Its her son. Daenrys is the Queen we deserve, Sansa is Queen in the north and Arya is the Kingsguard.
That's it for this first post. Hopefully I will talk to you all soon again..
